Here's all the information you need to determine if working with a coach is right for you.
Very simply, a coach is someone who will help you accomplish your goals. As a listener, a trusted advisor, and confidant, a coach works with you enhancing your strengths and building new capabilities. A coach's role is to help you see the possibilities for yourself and move confidently towards them. A coach is not a therapist, or a person to solve your problems. Instead, a coach is a resource to help you stay focused and on track while you're overcoming obstacles or reaching for your dreams.
Anytime you're engaged in making a shift in your personal or professional life it's advantageous to work with a coach. Professional shifts might include: identifying your vocational purpose or career path, exploring the idea of starting a new business, transitioning back into the workforce or even preparing for retirement. Personal shifts might include: moving toward a more intentional life, strengthening your connections with others, enhancing your creative expressions, establishing new connections with spirit or just deeper listening to your soul. These are just a few examples – whatever shifts, changes or goals are a part of your life are appropriate areas to establish a working relationship with an experienced coach. Once you've identified that a coach would be a helpful resource, you'll have a short 15 minute phone conversation with one of our True North Experiences advisors to match you with the best person for your needs. You'll receive a short assessment questionnaire to help you formulate your thoughts, needs and goals for coaching. When you've completed that form, you'll schedule your first session – “Coaching Goals Session”. This a free 30 minute phone conversation with your coach to establish what you want to get out of the coaching relationship and your preferred methods of communication. At the conclusion of that session, you will set a time for your first coaching appointment. Then you're off and running! With a coach by your side to help you stay focused, pace yourself and remind you to breathe…there's nothing you can't accomplish.
